limewire doesn't have any 'spyware' but it does have adware, even look on the site about the differences. It even has worse search results than the pro version. It hate file-share proggs which also have a pro version.

betas expire after few days and the program will install Spyware on you automatically!Um no the betas expire in 14 days, and DO NOT contain spyware, as both Ad-Aware and Spybot show it as clean..

Right from the Bearshare Web site "As always, the beta will expire after two weeks, so be sure to stay up-to-date with the latest betas."

So the betas are just fine, and have some of the cutting edge features in them

I don't really like BearShare BUT: BearShare Lite: www.bearshare.com/lite (NO ads, banners, bundled software)

Cydors alleged copy of Bearshare isn't clean. It has been partially cleaned it would appear. I suggested that he run a PestPatrol scan to gain the facts. Just because Ad-aware or spybot doesn't detect anything doesn't mean nothing is there. I tried PM' him ages ago about it, but to no avail. I tried his copy first hand and not only did it contain crap, but it connects to only 2 ultrapeers at any given time not making it as good as other Gnutella clients that can connect to 6.

I will be very clear here, I don't mean to offend Cydor. I just wanted you to know the facts.

PestPatrol is crap, - I thought it was common knowledge that it returns false positives when searching for spyware. Use AdAware or Spybot, - they actually work.

It doesn't matter anymore to how many ultrapeers you connect. You don't get any more search results by connecting to more ultrapeers ever since dynamic querying was implemented.

I would not have had advertisement windows opening while using the program if it were truly clean. I don't allow permanent access to my web browser, so I was able to block their pop-ups. I'm telling you it is not a false reading! Spysweeper detects crap in it too. My client connects to 6 ultrapeers every time. Dynamic querying or not I would rather connect to the 6 ultrapeers every time. I have compared the clients and non-clean bearshare with its pop-up ads does not even come close. It doesn't connect to as many sources when d/l either.

Not sure what you are talking about, XoloX 2.0 has no ads, and neither does BearShare Lite.
