Any one uses Bear Share

I haven't used this prog for edges now and i got my hands in the clean version of Bear Share and i mast say "WOW" what a big change from the lost time i used this prog. Now it's my new favored P2P program....and by the way, i downloaded more than 200 Mp3's and i still haven't bumped in to a fake one.....

Are you sure it's clean? I haven't used Bearshare in years. I was unaware of a clean version, other than the beta version, which I don't wish to use. What is it called and what version do you have? Where can I get hold of a copy?

sure as hell it is a clean version that i got from a K-Lite forum....they had Overnet Lite to out there, so yes it is clean version and this program kicks ass dude! it's so much faster and you get more rare files that you don't get anywhere ells.

Give limewire a shot too ya know. They are all on the same network. And maybe I have a little more trust for a client that doesn't ship spyware at all these days. I'm not saying clean clients are bad, just the idea that they had to be cleaned bothers me.

no... I checked... they are actually facts...

Furthermore... BearShare is a sham... you cannot share bears over their network. This is false advertising on their behalf. I will only call them that name if I can get a grizzly through my cable.

At least Shareaza is honest with their users... it is a nonsense term that means nothing, which equates quite well to the fact that you can find no results when using the program.

i used to... then i got osx/acqx. anyway, the bearshare betas are very nice... never had it crash on me, very fast, etc. bearshare was always my favorite, because limewire (being java) is slow and the ui has really lost it's shine. bs is c++ and i love the ui. checking the "secured" modes makes it even nicer... never had a download fail on bs with the security.

Well I like Bearshare, and have used it for years, so I guess there is more than 1 person who likes it in here.

Why dont you stop saying stupid crap like that, or maybe back it up with actual proof? Bearshare and Limewire are 2 very stable, efficent Guntella programs that work very well.

Im happy to see people come over to Gnutella, as there are not nearly as many fakes as FastTrack, and it has a very good group of clients using the network.

And BTW I used to use shareaza till they did the whole multi-network crap and it just went downhill from there. And I haver actual proof because I will sit there for minutes trying to get a G1 or G2 connection, while Bearshare gets connections within seconds.

In fact the next version currently in beta will have full Partial File Support and they will begin testing UDP stuff, and metadata. Great things to come...

The program has no anonymity and you guys who live in the USA better start thinking about that word alot more then you have. Keep wearing those blinders and end up in court with a lawsuit if you dont heed my advice!

I stopped using bshare years ago for that reason and many others.

That version of Bearshare cydor uses is not even clean. I tried it first hand and it's only been partially cleaned by some amateur. I found a pro version of bearshare, recently, that works great, but I still agree with Christoph, Limewire pro is a far better client.

I use bearshare lite all the time and limewire . They are both great programs. I got my version of limewire from insane's website. I only problem with bearshare lite is they every so often if you want to stop using lite and go to pro

Im a bearshare user and loving it ,I just deep sixed my kazza, with all the fake files there now it is done .I tried bearshare years ago and didnt like it but now it kicks ass ,get the Bearshare Lite no ads no spyware. :santa
