i was thinkin about this and since it is so easy to trace down people on gnutela and get their ip addresses and stuff, is that bad for the users of gnutella. like if someone was sharing illegal files on gnutella and someone found their ip address, what would happen? is this hindering gnutella's user base

Its the same for every P2P program just because you dont see ip addresses doesnt mean that they are harder to get..

well gnutella may be easy to get IPs off of but more people can be found on fasttrack rather than gnutella.
