UTC is over!!!

I tried to access UniteTheCows a few minutes ago and here´s what came up :

Well, that´s just sad! And also a bit weird : only a few days ago they had changed the owner, but were still going.
But, since yesterday, everybody was having problems accessing the site. It came back this morning, with the promise to keep going. And now it´s dead...

And what about the p2p app that they were developing?

Funny...3 weeks ago I was prevented from posting on utc anymore because of my name. :fire (censorship)
Even though I had been registered under my name for months( they even went so far as to change my name on posts - without telling me - then apologized)
I argued my case and was turned away.
They told me I couldn't post there under my name.
I guess they had too many in the herd already and didn't need me....good ridance.
I hope Tom ( at Slyck) will continue his fine work and blend in the best parts of utc with his already great site.

I started this thread to signal the sad fact that UTC had closed (fortunately it will reopen), which was bad news to the file-sharing community.
Then some paranoid fool decided to turn it into a knuckle-headed debate about English and American views on the rest of the World.
It´s sad, because with this thread, we could be celebrating unity in this community (UNITEthecows), and instead we´re having this argument.
