UPDATE: VERSION 2.1

2.1 is done and ready for use.
The only difference is that i added a second version of the skin. It is a graphite version(the buttons are all grey)

If you havent seen earlier versions of my skin, It is kind of a Mac OS X clone, but with many differences.


(Note: One of the bitmaps is 24 bit)

Up until the day that 1.6 was released, i knew nothing about skinning. I taught myself xml, and the various other things to do, and after many cans of mt. dew and many hours infront of the computer, this is what came out. I learned everything from the documents that shareaza has on their site. Its confusing at first, but once you get the basics, its not so bad.

My comp won't let me change the file type.... What do I do to be able to change the type? (WinXP):hole

well, you dont have to, its just easier to change the filetype. Just unzip it to the shareaza skins folder in your shareaza directory.

Do you have file extensions turned on? if not open up a window and then go to tools, folder options, view tab, then take the check mark out of the box that says, "Hide extentions for known file types", then try renameing it.

Like what? Please tell me what needs work, i know some stuff needs a little tweaking like the borders, and the bandwith monitor needs to be skinned, but what else? Suggestions? Comments are welcome and i will consider any suggestions.

Well The lines everywhere are extremely annoying and ugly and it looks like the borders aren't finnished and the blue string doesn't go with the wrest of the skin and btw yesterday was ma birthday :D:devil

Ok, i might just release another version with black text and stuff. Im not sure what to do with the lines, i think they look fine, but some dont like them. i might thicken them up or get rid of them all together. Im also working on an extra toolbar that will have a few extra functions.

Dude what I'm trying to say is the lines are plain ugly all together! So I mean DON'T make them bigger! Make them more unnoticable.

Thats what ive done, they are now wider than before, but lighter and they appear to blend into the white now, much less noticeable. Ive also gotten rid of the blue stuff and fixed the border problem. I think the next version will be much better, and i think you will like it better too. I Just gotta finish a few more things and it should be ready.

Anyone that can skin like that can roll the J's.
