What Program is for a NEWB? DC or DC++

What program is good for a newbie? I dont have any files..someone told me you had to share some minimum amount of files (for ex. 20gb to join a certain server) to download.


Whats better? Dc or DC++? are there any other better ones?

Definately DC++ or even better is bcdc++.

However you do need a good size share folder to get in good hubs. However, there are hubs that have 1-5 gig minimum which is not a bad place to start building up your share.

there are several hubs that dont require any slots any shares .... just filter no rules in public hubs listing

DC++, all activaty are log and if your new to that server read the rules and everything would be find when using DC++.

why would you go to those? hubs that have no rules are full of trash nobody wants.

the people who have good stuff make rules to keep the trash that congregates in no rules hubs out in the first place

you want to use dc, you have to follow the rules--no other way around it (well there are ways, but they are very short-sighted)

if u have nuthing to share its a good place to start, many times if i want to pick a common file, i goto tradenet

I would say dc++ as its the most supported client and most hubs accept it as the new NM client. Also if you use hacked clients you'll find that you'll get kicked and even your ip banned so you cant get into any of the hubs which they all know. So i would use DC++ as its easy and also the groundbreaking client of this amazing network.

What! Someone uses that client. Wow i thought it died out cause it was crap. Must have slipped my mind totaly that client. Is it still in development.
