Im trying to switch to avantbrowser (which is internet explorer with a fancy gui) and whenever I go to shoutcast and click a link it says:

"Internet explorer cannot download ... from shoutcast.com
Internet explorer was not able to open the site. blah blah blah unavaiable not found..."

But it works in opera and i just tested and yes, in mozilla. I used to have it set to open with media player classic, but I can't find any part of the internet options where I can tell it how to handle programs.

Thank you!

from what you describe, it seems like you're host is unable to contact the host @shoutcast.com to download the specified file from the end host. Possible problems could be an incorrect link to that specific file, maybe also you do not have the access or rights to download or do anything on shoutcast.com's server. it works for me using the download link from Cnet's download.com here (http://www.download.com/3000-2356-10150342.html?part=109407&subj=dlpage&tag=button). Hope this helps ya.good day.

i dont think i was specific enough

i have avantbrowser, but im trying to access the .pls files on shoutcast.com- they are links to online radio stations that (should) open in my media player. I can get them fine in firefox (behind proxy) and in opera (no proxy- direct), but for some reason I am unable to get them in internet explorer. I think there is some way to change file type associations or something, but if worst comes to worst, I'll just have to reinstall.

Thanks, though, origin
