How is it possible, when I look for a file with Limewire, I find about 100 results, and when I look for the same file with Bearshare, I find more then 200 results ?
I have test this more times !

Limewire connects to more ultrapeers then Bearshare... but Bearshare give me better results.

Anyone idea ?

LimeWire... The new version is gonna kick ass. I think they are all done with the beta now. So we just wait.

Well it depends on the sources and what child node, or ultrapeer your connected to.

true, its also known that bearshare likes to hammer the network with requests a little bit more.

And where do you hear that?? Bearshare is one if the better behaved clients on the network.

I believe the reason you may be seeing so many more on Bearshare is the fact it now includes Alt-Location hits in query hits, so you see a lot more results in the search window (at least source # wise). I have seen some files with well over 1000 sources.

It may be one of the better behaved clients but it is still the only big player using automated requeries at a rate significantly increasing the gnutella message traffic.

... oh yes and bearshare's alt-loc handling sucks...
