Mario Winans-Hurt No More

Mario Winans, a member of the musically ubiquitous Winans family, has already proved himself as a songwriter and producer. His resume includes stints with Mary J. Blige and R. Kelly. Like his Bad Boy boss P. Diddy, Winans is on his way to making the rare successful transition from behind to in front of the boards. His Bad Boy debut as a solo artist (he also writes and plays) was prefaced by the infidelity-themed single “I Don’t Wanna Know.” Featuring P. Diddy and Enya, the song samples the latter’s “Boadicea” (also used on the Fugees’ “Ready or Not”); it is in the top three on the R&B and pop charts. The remainder of the album is a smooth R&B/pop confection that samples El DeBarge (”You Knew”) and the Commodores (”How I Made It”). Winans uses his pleasant tenor to full effect on original songs like “Three Days Ago,” “What’s Wrong With Me” and “So Fine.”

Yeah - i was wondering this sample that he's using.

Since it comes from some song by new age singer Enya, it says "Ft. Enya" (although she's not in the video and she's not really singing, either)

Recently i saw that there was some scandal about illegal use of that same sample in "Ready or Not" by Fugees.

I guess that this dude is afraid of additional lawsuits, eh ?

can someone please tell me where Enya is in the song, or what part is sampled? Also, this guy is talented, but I hate that song's idea. If my girl was cheating on me, I would want to know in a heart beat. One other question...is she a Christian artists like those of his family? I know he did Best Friend with Puff Daddy, which was Christian, but I didn't know where he stood in all that.

Actually, this dude....or dudes - Mario & P. Diddy/Daddy used vocal sample from 'Song

of Boadicea'.

This song is basically instrumental and melodic part from it was removed so that the only

thing left was vocal sample. You know how it goes - m-m/m-m-

m....

Not that i'm fan of Enya/P. Diddy/Mario - its just useful to know this. I guess that R'n'B

fans will be sure that Enya is some black female singer.

He's basically saying that he wouldn't want to know just because he loves her so much and he doesn't want to be hurt by her.
