As most of you know I have not been in here for a while because I was very upset with one of our mods. Enough being said I have been out fighting my own war and I need some people with guts and writing skills to help my launch a counter attack on a few people who think they know it all. I hate to do this to you but there is going to be home research to be done before we all can do this.

This link above me is just for starters there are a total of 65 post in this thread and it get down right dirty. You will be able to notice the people who are they know it all about everything right off the bat. It goes to show you how one persons views turns into a dump filled with garbage and makes me sick to even think about it.

Once you read this you are going to need about 3 Excedrin tablets and put your hip boots on because this is where the crap starts flowing in. This is the call to battle my friends and I cannot do it on my own. Everyone needs to become members of this board and the main attack has to begin with someone in here with a good sense of writing skills you can’t swear or call names because he will have it pulled.

This is the other side of the fence my people the people who fill the heads of other good people with trash and BS. All I am asking for is help and to give some of these people a dose of their own medicine to turn the tables to show others, that there are others out here who will not step down. We all believe in one thing and it is our freedom.

Now lastly I am going to show you a little outburst of one of these people after they were challenged said to the people of the board room now remember these words after you read through this post. I understand that Tech TV message boards are not the greatest; however I love to watch Tech TV because there is so much to learn from their shows. There is no management in the board rooms only one sided preachers. I am one just one of many that could or could not. These guys wouldn’t have the balls to come in here and start talking that trash they would be booted out of here like a rocket ship. and seem very determind to fight for P2P, and i for one, cant fault you for this!
Persistence is right on the nail head. Thank you for your kind words and yes I do support apart of P2P that is file sharing for people who can’t afford the high prices of software which that is about the take a header right into the ground in the next couple of years. Movies are ok if the people know what they are doing and know how to rip a DVD correctly.
The only thing I am against is child porn and I really don’t need to explain why on that topic.
I am a music collector I love music it is what brings life into this world. I use Kazaa to download some of my music but to be honest I do buy a crap load of CD’s. Now wait before someone says that I am supporting the RIAA let me tell you something. I have a music library of almost 30,000 songs and my Kazaa is on 24/7 I hardly ever shut it down only once a week when I clean the inside of my computer. When a person downloads a file from me they are getting the highest quality that I can give to them and I even give them space to work with. Everything in my library is set at a Brit-Rate of 224, and I have been questioned about this before. I share my files so that the world can enjoy what I love doing. And believe me if you can’t find it I know I got it, and if I don’t got it all you do is have to write to me and say something and I will have it within 24 hours. That my dear is how much I support P2P. and by the way Grrrrrrrrrr, got a number?

I find it necessary to explain myself about me buying CD’s like I do. I want you all to know that I do not support the RIAA in anyway shape or form. Like I said before I am a music collector and I have all kinds of music more then you can imagine. All this started around 1987 when I bought my first CD player. I had a pretty good stereo and when I hooked up that CD player for the first time and put in my very first CD I ever bought Which was AC/DC and turned up the power I was hooked.
Now we all know back then CD prices were kind of high so I didn’t buy many CD’s at first but through the years and as time went by CD prices started to fall and I could afford to buy 2 or 3 CD’s per-week. Back then those were the real CD’s made of good quality material not like we get today. If you were to take a CD that was made back in 1988 and hold it in your one hand and hold a CD of today In the other you can tell the difference in just the weight. The older ones are heavier and more durable.
By 1999 I had a library of 2065 CD’s all setting on the self collecting dust. It took me a long time to collect that many CD’s and a whole lot of money. Then thus the MP3 came to my attention and thus was born Napster and the list goes on. I was on a quest to burn new CD’s of the old stuff you just couldn’t buy anymore. Then just last year was born the 160 GB Maxtor hard drives and the start of my building my MP3 Library.

Now some of you are going to laugh I spent weeks ripping all my CD’s at a Brit-Rate of 128 CD quality. I was prouder then a peacock I had the biggest and the best library every, and people were downloading from me like crazy. Needless to say all my CD’s wasn’t going to fit onto my new hard drive so I had a brain storm instead of buying a new hard drive why don’t I just compress them in half and I can gain more room. (Wrong move) I did it anyway and still ended up not having enough room.

So last fall western digital came out with their 250GB hard drives and I was more then excited about this. This time I wasn’t going to make any mistakes. I wanted to make sure before I even bought one of those drives that my music was going to fit on all of them at a Brit-Rate of 244, why did I choose 244, well for the same reason when I downloaded songs from the net at lower rates they just didn’t seem to have the quality as a regular CD and so I really started to put some research into this project and came up with the solution. If people were going to download my music over the internet they are going to loose some quality in the transfer so I compensated that with giving them some room to work with. So you see it was for the people not for me.

It took me a better part of 3 months to fully upgrade my computer and how many hard drives I would have even down to the sound system connected to my computer. And just let me say it is a pretty sight and I am darn proud of my project. Not to brag or anything like that but I will I want to introduce my computer to you and what makes it tick.

I am running a ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe Mother Board with Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.60GHz 2.61Ghz possessor. 4GB of Ram. For my graphics card I am using ASUS V9950 Ultra V44.71 256MB.
My sound card is Audigy 2 Platinum Complete with a Bose 6.1 surround sound system that kicks ass.
Internally I have two Western Digital 250GB hard drives. One being partitioned in half one part holding my operating system and the other half which holds all my programs. Externally I have one Western Digital hard drive and one external Maxtor 160 GB hard drive. I am running windows XP professional and have cable internet set at 3Mb. Running through Linksys cable modem into a Linksys router that runs into my computer.
After I had built my computer and got all the software installed I started ripping my CD collection onto my 250GB external drive and now I am starting to bleed onto the Maxtor 160GB. You want quality? You got it. Not to mention the Sony 22inch Monitor Led display. It is really cool. And I am darn proud of it. I HAVE THE POWER!!!

I know what your saying so what, but for me it was worth it to shove every darn CD onto my hard drives and share my collection with the world just to piss of the RIAA. Yeah I buy CD’s but it isn’t just for me it is for all of you. I am starting a new project starting this fall where I am going to start putting whole box sets together in a zip file so people don’t have to look that far and I think it is a good idea because all they have to do is open the file and place it in their own library and have room to work with it. Do I still download? Yep! Sure am, I am hunting around for all those rare albums that people have forgotten about. By this fall my intentions are to take my fathers old ceramic 78’s and record them clean them up and digitalize them into clean MP3’s I am buying all the equipment necessary to pull this off. So if the question still is in your mind, do I support the RIAA? Hell no I am opposed to the basterds. Hell of a story but I just wanted you to know what I am all about. I just have to learn to keep my temper under control and to keep good friends with all of you in here. Let’s just say, we are family and family sticks together. Yeah their might be fights but that goes on in real life family’s no problem here. I am just so happy to be back I can’t stop writing.

I just don't like money grubbing that think the more money they can suck out of all of us. I seen this alot where someone or company charge large sum of and for what, so they can go out in a year or 2 and ask you to upgrade your software.

Now I had to laugh when I read this one from you. No delusions this time around. And about the other topic, if they are lighting candles for me their candles are going to burn out before I get back there. I am trying to keep my cool and bring the news in here for everyone to enjoy.

Lets just keep the peace from here on out. I just got back into town and I am regrouping for my charge into history. I really don't want to argue with anyone anymore, cause there is always two sides to every story, that much I have learned. And there are some people who just hate me but I am cool with that. It was intended, that the post be "taken" as neither a "slap in the face" nor a "compliment".

I want to thank you for your replies to my thread and now that I understand what you are talking about it makes it easier for me to understand that I am not alone. I have been up all night banging away at the keys and for what. Like you would say I am just pissing into the wind.

Tech TV is one of my favorite shows to watch and is on almost 24/7 in my office at home. I got into the board rooms about a year back but didn’t know about the copy right laws discussions until a few months ago. I hung out in Tech Live board room talking about computers and all new things that were and what are coming out onto the market. I should have stayed putt right where I was and just kept up with a few of my friends in there. Needless to say one of my friends brought up the subject about how illegal downloading music was and he was going to delete his whole library of music. I asked him why and he told me to check out The Screen Savers board room Talk about File sharing and so I did it and found myself in a mess in there.
It didn’t take long before it started heating up in there, and more people started getting involved in the issues of file sharing on how wrong it was and I had to set and read these people’s postings till I was blue in the face and it has been a battle ever since.

I am going to take your advice and just stay out of there and forget about it. It is a battle that can’t be won on either side no matter how much proof you have. I was at that point until Tech TV The Screen Savers Pulled my daughter’s threads she was doing for a school project. My daughter attends Michigan State and is Majoring in computer programming and computer science.

One of her instructors wanted them to come up with story about the copy right laws and she is in a group of about five other girls. For the past two weeks they have been studying the laws how they started and where they are today. So yesterday she posted her own thread on copy right laws and it was a darn good job, however she was attacked by the same two people who you talked about that have their roots deep in the ground. I later went to pull up her thread to print it out and now she is banned from the Tech TV board rooms.

So from what you have told me, it is true, so true that I am going to take a break from writing for a while. There is no winner in this I am not giving up I am just getting ready to regroup collect my thoughts and talk to you guys before I appear once again for battle. Dam those people for pulling her threads all because she had the proof and the heart to believe in something so strong. The reason they pulled her is easy, she put those guys in their places and they didn’t like it, she was a threat to them.
