sup guys, got a question whats teh best p2p to download software. I am using Ares but I really dont see much of anything i put in is there a better p2p.

Also I tried overnet and emule but it seems my college is one of those univeristies that are filtering out p2p
any advice

Well I was going to say Overnet for software, but you can switch the UDP and TCP ports it needs so that you can put any port. Port scan yourself, see which ports remains open, and then use those. There are bound to be a few your university didn't block, as there are legitimate reasons to use different ports.

i've never used that one, but you can scan the first 1025 ports at http://www.grc.com

yea i did the test and there are no ports open, is this for my connection or the isp, i am confused. I have a router but I have it set to factory defaults so I can use p2p

that's your connection. if you want to find out if your ISP is blocking ports, take the router out of the loop and scan while the modem is hooked up to an un-firewalled computer.
