I recently downloaded a full season of a certain tv show at dvd quality from supernova. When I try to convert it to mpg (so I can burn it to DVD), cucusoft crashes. I tried this with Neo DVD Standard, but also failed.
My Neo DVD has worked before on a different set of video files from supernova, so I'm guessing that the avi file is copy protected. Is there a way to bypass the protection?
I'm on Windows XP Home.
Thanks in advance :gj

Your guess is almost certainly wrong.

Are the files highly fragmented? Are they larger than your swap file and memory? Are they marked as READ only? Are the file names too long?

Are the files highly fragmented?
Not sure what that means.
Are they larger than your swap file and memory?
No.
Are they marked as READ only?
No.
Are the file names too long?
How long is too long? The longest Filename is 30 characters.
If it helps, each file has [rl-dvd] in it. Does that mean something?

What Krell means by "highly fragmented", is have you defragmented your hard drive lately?
You can either do this with the built in defragging program in windows, or with another program like Diskeeper (a favorite of mine).
If you right click on your hard drive, go to properties. Then go to the tools tab, and click defragment. For best results, close ALL programs when defragmenting. If it keeps restarting or takes a long time, reboot windows into safe mode, then defrag. You'll really notice a performance increase if you haven't done it recently.
