Hi there,

I've just started working on a cross-platform p2p program, based on mldonkey so it will be able to connect to edonkey and all the other networks mldonkey can too. We're writing the GUI in wxWindows, so it will look and act the same way on Windows, Linux and Mac. The hope is for it to end up a bit like eMule, but easier to use and of course with all the capabilities of the mldonkey core. The software is literally pre-alpha but I'm happy with it so far.

Hopefully this is the right place to post this (zeropaid is the best-known p2p site, and this is the edonkey/crossplatform forum). Would anyone here be interested in being a beta tester for this program?

Thanks.

I can't imagine how to make emule easier. How will this be different from emule?

eMule is quite easy, but mldonkey is easier. Once you set the options, it pretty much just works. We're going for a sort of set-and-forget type interface -- where it has the best default options we can think of with options to change them all, but once you have you can just search and download and let the program manage everything else, instead of poking it every so often like you need to with emule.

Also, I don't think emule connects to all the networks that mldonkey does.
