Cool, I'm about to do a reinstall methinks. Very helpful.
What's better autopatcher or keyser? I liked the Usual Suspects so I'm inclined to go with Soze...:upside

They should be about the same since there just both windows update programs. With that said i have never used keyser but going on thier website its missing these updates :
* The following are NOT included in this Security Pack
installation - MSN Messenger updates, Windows Media
Player updates, Movie Maker updates, Internet Explorer
Updates, Java Virtual Machine updates.
Also autopatcher has some tweaks that it adds to registry that can do some cool things, like disabling compress old files during disk cleanup, ability to remove all windows xp screensavers and wallapers, ability to remove all win9x based wallpapers, add uxtheme.dll patcher (so you can use custom themes) and other things.

I was under the impression that I would have to do many updates from windows update... this seems to be a one-shot deal... not the case?

Its kind like when people use proxys for web surfing, they throw up the chance that thier info is safer threw it then with the normal company while it could just be a ploy for a hacker to use thier system.
As per trojans and spyware and the like with autopatcher,i havent found anything after a install useing anti-virus tools and ad-ware.Nore have i seen any subsious programs trying to get to the net.
