I have been making some vids using windows movie maker for some time now. I was just wondering if any of you knew of any better programs than this and if you do I ask that you please post a download link.

Those are what i use anyway
BTW: These are very Professional apps that you MAY NOT be able to jump right into in 5 mins, and they all are upwards of $400+ :)

Ulead makes very good video production software. Media Studio Pro for linear video editing, titles and transitions.

Video Studio Pro is not as feature rich as Media Studio, but is still way better than the windows movie maker.

vegas video kicks ass, i'm using it right now, it was originally made by sonic foundry, the creators of many good video/audio editors i.e. soundforge, but their entire product line was bought out by sony. I highly recommend it. Check the newsgroups. It's there.

Final Cut on Mac is what we use at University. Adobe Premiere is also good.
