Just ran into this, and thought I'd share.

You can get the Original Grand Theft Auto and the tank game Wild Metal - for free! All you need to do is register (only the e-mail needs to be legit, for you paranoids), and you can get them direct from the source.
Yeah, it's not that big of a deal, but Rockstar has the right idea. When a product grows beyond its productive time, companies can benefit from passing the buck to the consumer end. Consumers get free materials, and Companies get free advertising and publicity from stuff not making much more money for them anyway. It's not quite like a GNU release, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.
