Is there any way to save Kazaa search results to a text file? eg a 3rd party tool?
I need to do this so I can find the most popular tracks by particular artists and then go look for higher bitrate versions elsewhere at a later time.
At the moment I use a screen capture utility to save the results as a jpeg - but this is messy, and a typical search throws up 3-4 separate files. I don't want to bother with ocr - there must be an easier way???
Any help would be very much appreciated...
(I'll check back in about 12 hours as it's bedtime over here right now.)

I don't know of any ways that you could save results as a text file, screen capture may very well be the only way. I know it's messy, but I'm pretty sure you can't do much.

Thanks for the replies.
It turns out that there was a thread I read some time ago about this that was actually posted on Zeropaid - the program is called KazaaTexts - http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=15324
Haven't used it yet but looks hopeful.
I used to be a HUGE AudioGalaxy fan and just before they pulled the plug I downloaded loads of search results from there and saved them for future study.
That's how I got the idea to do something similar with Kazaa. After all, the record companies and radio stations do that already, an 3.5 million users can't be totally wrong in their musical tastes...

Just tried it and it works!!!
It's a command-line utility that saves the specified kazaa window as a nice clean html file...
...though it does expand ALL the branches in the original kazaa search window so that looks a bit messy afterwards.

Watch out for Kazaa Lite. Many of the newer versions have malware and spyware in them.

Are you the Random Nut that created K++??? If you are, I am a BIG fan of your program!
