Can anyone tell me how to set up a primary connection to WinMX? I just got earthlink DSL and cant get the auto config to set a primary connection. Says it needs TCP and UDP info for incoming and outgoing? It will set up a standard connection but its too slow. Want to take advatage of the DSL. HELP

If your behind a router, as cpu said, you must forward ports. If you dont plan on staying on WinMX for long periods of time, forget using a primary connection. I use a secondary connection and get search results just fine. Also, if you have a-dsl (slow upload speed) pretty much anything below 256k, forget the primary connection, as it will stifle your connection. I have tried this before I upgraded my connection and it simply just didn't work.
