CORRUPTERBUSTER

Alright I have got some news on both products. By pure luck alone I was able to purchase both Roxio 7 and Nero Ultra and have used both of them for the past 24 hours. I am however still working with Nero full capabilities of burning CD’s and it has proven to be good software so far, I did have a few bugs that I had to work out when installing the software but it all worked out in the end. There are so features that I would rather do without, and other features that were outstanding. Like I said, I still haven’t had time to work with everything just yet.
Roxio 7 is a good, No! Great program they have changed so many things within the software that I was surprised it had these features. One of the features that I really liked is you can incorporate still photos or movie photos with in your disk. Like if you were to play the disk in your DVD Player you would be looking at a kind of slide show, and if you have a car stereo that is capable of reading this format it works great. This is one feature that Nero does not have.
As for Burning CD’s alone, I was please with the performance and how well it automatically adjust the volume levels of each song. Depending on your burner another feature that it has is that it has Text Write, which really is great when making your own CD’s I felt this was an important. The installation of the product did take a while, and It took longer then Nero did, but what really was impressive to me was the browser no more Icons in the start section it is all on the browser that opens up, and you can run up to 4 different programs at the same time.
So far I am set on Roxio. I am though a little weary of Roxio’s reputation of upgrades. They charge you for all upgrades, where Nero gives you free upgrades, but we all know we can get these upgrades for free. So I am telling everyone right now if you are into video and photography and music Roxio is the product for you. And just to end on the Nero side, if you are into Music and Burning CD’s Nero is the program for you. After tomorrow I think I will take Nero back and tell the salesman that I preferred Roxio 7 and as agreed I will pay him $20.00 to refund my purchase due to a cracked disk. Some times it helps to have friends on the inside.
I really want to thank everyone for your comments, you really gave me some ideas on what to look for and you all helped me make the right choice. Looking at the poll of course went against my pick, but isn’t that how things are suppose to work? Take the lowest number and you got your choice.
Wish you all the best
Robert
