Hi all!
My friends got a problem with a program called KeySpy. I've told him to try SpyBot Ad-aware and everything else "I" cold think of.
So I'd like to ask all of you to maybe help him out to see if you can get rid of this program, cause it always pops up and says what it does in the picture.
Thnx in advance!

Have you looked in task manager and tried to kill and identify the process?
check it out.
once killed you can delete it.

Rick, i think that if the instructions in my link are followed it should be able to be removed. that said, i wonder who installed it on the pc, and why?

Wow I bet no one would ever figure out they are being recorded by everything they type.
I would run some serious anti-virus updates, spyware updates, windows updates, and check your processes and verifty each one, and turn it off if it is suspicious
Then go to start, run, msconfig, and look for any files which you have never seen before, and disable them from starting up.
Once you know the name of the program, search for its location with microsofts search, and delete it.
You should be all set after that.

its really weird, why would they advertise a virus saying its running knowing they will try to remove it.. Its not one of those popup ads that say they found crap on your pc, erase your tracks now kind of things?

Sry took me so long to reply, I was really busy on the weekend.
Anyway, I'll make sure I get that site to him, THNX Hunter.
And he did try getting rid of the process in his task manager, but maybe he didn't know what he was looking for.
I think the site should solve everything.
@Shawners
Yea it's pretty stupid of them to advertise that they are sending information to somewhere and let the user try to delete the program. Pretty stupid. Anyway, thnx

Just FYI...Keyloggers usually are installed by someone that has access to their computer...not remotely like trojans. The process usually has the name of something that doesn't sound or look suspicious or may not even appear in the running apps at all. I have beta tested PestPatrol and found it to be an excellent means of detection, but I can't say the free version will do the same.
There are lots free removal tools available.
