Hello Everyone:
It has been a while since I have been in here, but I am back from my vacation of retuning my computer and all that good stuff.
I really this time need some help and I know that comes as a surprise to many of you, but times are changing software is changing and I want to ask what is the best software of Burning your own CD’s
I have been to about four of the big box stores and there are some mixed feelings on what software I should choose, and a few that don’t know what the hell their talking about. I am going to poll this thread, so Mr. Mod please let this one slide by.

what have you been using alll this time??? I would go with Roxio cause if you dont know all the options or what your doing in nero. I used roxio to edit and merge tracks and blend them together with the fade option.

I have them both, and use them both. But in my opinion, Roxio is easier to use. My husband is proof of this. ;)
P.S. Welcome back Corrupterbuster.

I prefer Nero but this new Roxio sounds promising. I might have to try a "free trail"
Easy Media Creator 7.0 offers the most comprehensive and well-integrated suite of CD- and DVD-burning tools on the market.
The good: More integrated digital-media components than any other suite; interface intuitive enough for beginners, rich enough for more advanced users.
The bad: Delays when switching between components and performing some tasks; some components are limited.
With Easy Media Creator 7.0, Roxio hasn't just strapped a few of its flagship applications together; it's built a new Swiss Army Knife suite for digital media and disc burning. Roxio Easy Media Creator expands upon Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator, keeping the suite tightly integrated but making it a much broader set of media-editing tools for photos, video, data, and audio. Pinnacle and Sonic have bulked up their editing and authoring offerings, and Ahead Software's and NTI's burning applications offer more depth, but none currently matches Easy Media Creator's expansive scope--not even Apple's iLife. If you're looking for a suite of software that can handle almost any kind of CD or DVD project--capturing and ripping, editing and authoring, saving and sharing, or burning and playing--look no further than Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.0.

Roxio came pre-installed for me, so I never needed Nero. I've always had about a 99.5% success rate with Roxio. Not bad at all.

I would say Nero. But keep Roxio as a backup. I've actually had Nero fail me before.

MUSIC ROXIO, the ones who make alot of coasters are doing more gaming, dvd, and such burning. So nero is what their going to pick.. If you cant burn a music cd with roxio if you dont have right plugins or support. It wont let me burn any mp3's over 384, so i will have to use another.

I tried roxio stuff and I dont like it. I dont like its interface, I dont like how it screws up my drivers. I like Nero better. Its has a toned down interface and just does what you want and doesnt give me a bunch of BS about it.
Guess I am not the only one who has issues with Roxio stuff LOL

btw: Alchohol 120% is an awesome proggie Dark Messenger. Can't beat it's virtual dvd/cd drives and capability to burn almost any kind of image file. But I think he's looking for something for music.

I have Music Match which is the best for ripping, and un-beatable tagging program and a nice library. However as to burning to CD's It lacks a few options that are important. Like text writing, which is important to me when making my own cd's and if you don't burn at the slowest speed you get skips. So over all Music Match is great in everything besides burning

Well it seems that Nero is the winner here, yet Roxio had some other issues that sounded promising. It does sound like Nero holds the advantage I only wish that I could have put this in a week ago or 2 weeks then I would have had the voices from both sides. Nero or Roxio gosh I just don’t know.
There is an advantage with Roxio though, It has video software that I already use, however like one of you said, Roxio does have its problems, well shit guys, I am just going to flip a coin and hope for the best. Thank you all for your comments I really am happy with all the feed back.
By the way, keep your eyes open for the story of a life time, when I got to meet two former RIAA employees. I think this will even blow the socks of our Mod off.
