Theres not much you can do to speed another users upload speed up. I will suggest though after you do a find more sources on the file, try refreshing your connection and then try find more sources again. Repeat this until you find alot of sources for the file. The WPN is very fragmented because almost no one uses primary connections so you NEVER see the whole network. refreshing will bring in lots and lots of sources. Also Winmx users are usually in other countrys. Its the biggest thing going everywhere but the U.S. where everyone loves KaZaa.

So you miss all the people with fast connections and winmx set to report that it is on a 28.8 modem.

Winmx needs to be left running for days to get to the top of the queues. Nothing short of a rewrite with a built in anti-leech mechanism is going to make winmx fast.

If your computer is connected to the internet through a NAT router or connection sharing software then configuring portforwarding get you faster downloads on average.

Type ipconfig in a dos box, if your ip address is 192.168.x.x 10.x.x.x or 172.16-31.x.x then you are behind a connection sharing system.

If you have a router read the manual. Winmx only seems to detect network settings when first installed so after configuring port forwarding you need to manual tell it that it can receive incoming connections.
