There are users which have problems with Shareaza since it often doesn't hold the set up upload border. On assymetric connections (DSL, ISDN, Modem etc) it leads to lower speeds. To high uploads can even lead to 10% of possible speed !

Q: I have this upload problem what to do?
A: Get Netlimiter or other similar software. Either search in Shareaza for this software or go to NetLimiter.com and get it there. If you don't know what to do after the 30-days trial, ask your friends.

Q: Downloaded, installed. What now?
A:
1. Start NetLimiter (it will be started since now with your system automatically)
2. Start Shareaza
3. Change to NetLimiter.
4. Select Shareaza.
5. In the column "Up Limit" set the value to 85-90% of your maximum upload.

Now, Shareaza won't block your internet connection anymore. After the startup it goes through all the sources it knows and uses the maximum upload set in NetLimiter.

Q: What if i lower my upload to the minimum?
A: First of all, it is unethical. Also, my tests showed that slowing down the upload speed lowers the download speed automatically. I don'T know if it has been hard-coded into Shareaza or not, but it leads to much lower speeds.
That's all i can say on this topic.
Who wanted, could always block his upload speed, if he wanted. Either with asocial eMule mods or other things. Such troll nation always existed :]

Q: What are optimum settings for upload?
A: 10%-15% should be always free.
- For modem set up 1.5-2 kBps - depends on your modem and connection quality.
- For ISDN set up 3 kBps (if it is wrong, correct me)
- For DSL 768/128 set up 13-14 kBps
And so on.

Have fun.

As i said - it is for those where all general tipps don't help.
I also don't have such a problem, but my neighbor (with same connection and similar system) couldn't use it until that for example.

what about this dima.. I have shareaza downloading a file at 118.62 total file size, it will go to 118.33 and stop and reset at 118.12.. so it keeps going down to where it was when it says its downloading at 25 bytes.. it go as high as 118.50.. and stops and shows it only downloaded 118.12 megs. So how do you correct that, also users im downloading from says choked or unintrested. Why wont it stop at 118.50 and resume there?? It keeps going back to 118.12.

Because the data that it's getting from 118.12 to 118.50 is corrupt. Shareaza will try to download that bit from other clients until it gets the right one.
