Its a sony site, so... i would say they want to make us think the artists are a seperete thing than the music companies. than you will be mad about the music companies but still like the artist and buy his albums.
when in fact, the music companies own every inch of the artists, and they do everything they are told.

while the video, in my opinion, was not all that great, it is still very nice to have a fairly influential band voicing their opinion in our favor. it cant hurt, so im all for it.

Uhm.. Are you serious? Buying their CD would just be giving MORE money to the RIAA. If you do wanna give them money now, hope they have a store on their site (im sure they do) and hope the money from those products goto the band. If u realy wanna make a stand.. Spread the Video as much as possible and hope it become the most downloaded/searched for vid on the net and then a point might be made.

well...it was a controversy when it was still new and KoRn had released their new album. Sorry, but it's old, and it's not neccessarily saying fuck the industry...it's about their split with their old record company...it was a desperate plea for attention...but it sucked

Thnx again for the info

Cold has a pretty good song on Year of the Spider. Kill the Music Industry.

They change your faith
It's gone too far to name
the way you see
The things they'll change
Your life and control
your mind
I can't relate to it

[Chorus]
Sick of all this monotany
Kill the fuckin' music industry

They trust the way they feel
in their minds its time
for us to scream
The things they'll change
your life and control
your mind
I can't relate to it

[Chorus] x2

Kill the fuckin' music industry! xalot

Why?

[Chorus] x3

Kill the fuckin music industry! x4

Update:

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Embattled shock jock Howard Stern has found a theme song: Korn's "Y'All Want a Single." The song, and especially its video, is an attack on radio conglomerates and the music industry, Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis says.

Clear Channel pulled Stern's morning radio show off its stations last month because of indecency concerns, and Stern has since positioned himself as the poster child for free speech. The Korn song has fallen so in line with Stern's political rants that a remixed version featuring Stern is available at the band's official Web site, http://www.korn.com.

The video to "Y'All Want a Single," which Stern hails as "the most inspirational, the most spectacular understanding of what's going on in this country right now," was shot at an out-of-business Los Angeles record store. In it, Korn, joined by fans, storms through the aisles smashing the display cases and CDs with crowbars. While the store is being destroyed, statements taking the music industry to task cross the screen, including: "One corporation owns the 5 major video channels in the U.S."; "98% of the bands signed to a major don't make a profit"; "Two radio conglomerates control 42% of listeners"; "The music industry releases 100 songs per week."

Read complete story here (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=638&ncid=579&e=6&u=/nm/20040325/en_nm/music_korn_dc).

Go Stern!
