Picking a President....

Why is it that it's the government and the evil corporate world who gets to choose the guys who we vote for president? And really....what would it take to change the process?

I mean....look at who we have to choose from....Bush and Kerry! There should be a LOT more people to choose from....and I mean TO THE END! None of this "i'm dropping out because I didn't do well in the caucus (spelling?)."

And who is running against W on the republican side? ANybody?

The whole process is NOTHING but a sham. I think something like "The Practice" would be a WHOLE lot better of a way to pick a president than the current system.

they're all crooked in some way or another, all we can do is hope things turn out alright, or at least get better.

The primaries were decided by the people already! That's the point of the primaries, to narrow the field. It's counter productive to have two democrats or two republicans fighting against each other. Why would they want to do that?!?!?

I think you're looking for more variety in parties. Just because Democrats and Republicans have dominated. Vote libertarian or green or something else then.
