The problems I have with it is that when you connect to a certain "room" you have to have a certain amount of space like 10mb or 25mb. Also you are just doing a one to one connect unlike KaZaA or WinMX where it groups file together. Also you have to find files by connecting to get room and doing a search in it, but you have to do that in each room separately to find anything.

it's rediculous some hubs require 80 and 100 or even > 250gb to get in, but that's not the program's fault... on it's whole its seems to be an excellent idea but it's also hard to find whatever due to queues, lets just give it some time...

Actually pirate, You can't get in with just 25MB...You need mor like 25 GB :P And you don't search you can just browse whoever you want to if you want to directly connect.

True I just said 10mb because that is the lowest I have seen on it and most are about the 25mb average. And I know it isn't the programs fault, but I think everyone should be able to download no matter what or how many file space they had. But I also agree that alot of people are leeches in the p2p file sharing community....look at FastTrack Network at least half maybe more are not sharing a thing. And browse throuhg someone file, you have hunt and find that certain someone who has files you want or need.

MusicPirate, you MUST mean 25GB, because that's the average that I've seen. Anyway, DC is a great program. If you have enough files to share, it can be really enjoyable and worthwhile =)

Yes I do mean 25gb....sorry.....But with Direct Connect...you just have to hunt down a good hub or room to find anything and when I return to Direct Connect the hub/room isn't there at that time. True you don't have to worry out RIAA or whoever, but with Direct Connect you are doing a one to one connect you can't download the same file from mult. sources which cut the time down on download plus if someone disconnects there you are only with part of a useless file.
