please do not close this topic! I bought in germany for 5,99 the maxi CD of Kevin lyttle - turn me on ! well-- I bought it only because of the radio remix. and now something unbelivebel, this CD isen't working on my old CAR radio.. on my new CD player there are no problems! I searched a long time for the radio remix but most of them are only fakes and the Spragga benz version (kevin lyttle feat spragga benz). the spraga benz version is very simelar to the radio remix but its not the real one...... ok... can anybody help me with a link? you know what I mean! :heart

Does it have anti-copying protection on it because that can make some cds not play in some cd players. IMHO you should take it back and get your money back since it doesnt work in your car.

Can't you just hold the shift key down or disbable the auto-run feature in your computer to make a rip?

Then reburn and you're all good. And you made a fair use copy too!

Watch they won't refund your money because you opened it. But then you'll say so what it's copy-protected anyway so I couldn't of copied it. They'll grin and tell you you're shit out of luck.

Hey dude, you could always make a rip by sampling to audio stream out right back to audio in.

I'd advise you to try Soulseek.

They seem to have a lot of Kevin lyttle Turn Me On mp3s.

You never really said if you had tried ripping it Christoph.

I can't think of a more obvious 'fair use' reasoning, and your country's 'fair use' clauses are still probably up.

Why not get a 3.00 dual male 1/8 stereo cable and record the sound from your cdplayer into your computer? Capture it as wav and then burn the wav to cd. No quality loss.

Christoph...please relax.. I rip copy protected cd's on a daily basis. there are 2 ways you can do it.

1 - get yourself a copy of isobuster or EAC. It will rip your cd if your drive isnt junk. for example, my toshiba drive wont rip these cd's (it has problems ripping the first track, but rips the others ) But my pacific digital has no problem ripping them (only with Isobuster or EAC, they are the same thing really) I also have a TDK drive and it works bad just like the toshiba (wont rip the first track in any software). If your drives wont rip the disc try number 2

2 - analog copy - works FLAWLESSLY if you do it right. you need some software to record into the soundcard. I use goldwave, but there are other things you can use. I hook my portable cd player in to my computer by using a wire with 2 male headphone jacks on both ends. plug on end into your cd player or whatever your playing the cd on and plug the other end into the input of the soundcard. play the cd and record with your software. MAKE SURE its not too loud or it will clip at the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sound distortion) If you have problems feel free to ask.
