Ok, I've had a dvd burner for a couple months now. I've been using DVD X Copy xpress software to burn, and a Sony dvd player model DVP-NS425P to play them. I've had quite a few successful burns in that time using TDK DVD-Rs and imation DVD+Rs. Now I have a problem. I tried a different brands(Liquid Video DVD-Rs), and my dvd player couldn't read them (they did seem to burn correctly). I thought my dvd player just couldn't read that brand so I tried TDK DVD+Rs, they worked, but the video froze when playing a lot, and there were a great deal of burn errors. Finally, I went back to the same brand of TDK DVD-Rs, but now they don't work at all. I've tried to burn several different DVDs with each of these brands, but they just won't work. I've also tried re-installing the DVD X Copy software several times.

The Liquid Video and TDK DVD-Rs always get the same message from my dvd player, "The Disk is Dirty". Also, my previously burned DVDs are all still working fine.

I need some help, does anyone have any ideas? I'm also not very computer literate, so simple answers would be much appreciated.

I removed your other post, please only post the same questions once.

I don't have a clue as to how to help you, but someone may see this and know more.

Ok, sorry. I didn't see anyone looking in this room, so I thought I'd try the other one. Won't happen again.

You listed the Player you use, but not the Burner.
I have a TDK-420N..it uses DVD + Disks ONLY.
That could be your problem, you need to read your handbook & find out if you need + or - Disks...unless you bought a + & - DVD Burner.

Oh, yea. I'm using a LiteOn +/- 4x DVD burner. I'm not sure of the model number.

You can look up your dvd player at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers to see what media other people have gotten to work with your model.
