Is Zerpaid keeping the RIAA out to protect us??

As you can see I am a newbie...just want to get up-to-date about this site and the safety of posting here.. I not a huge p2p person, just dabble. I do, however, think the RIAA is a slimey business.

If you mean is this site affiliated with the RIAA.. No.. So as long as you dont break the forum rules you can say whatever you want..

The forum rules is pretty much the following..

1. no flaming
2. no spamming/repetitive posts/crossposting
3. no porno
4. no file requests

Can the RIAA go to this site and keep a blacklist of people like us to use later - if and when they start trying to prosecute p2p users?... are we setting ourselves up?...This is really the question.

No because things like file requests arent allowed here so i doubt that they would want to go after people for merely discussing P2P topics, even so they would have to get a court order to get user information and even then that person could have been using a proxy and/or public e-mail account..

So i dont think you have much to worry about unless you want to start asking for illegal files like cracks or start posting them which isnt allowed anyways or publically admit that your breaking the law..

The RIAA can go to any website like this and take usernames, but they cant do much with them.

Ummm....I think Aeris running shoes is a radio ad from GTA3's radio station , "Chatterbox" isn't it?

i read it rong,but still ares the p2p program is a leech cuz i got rare files whic r uploaded mad on shareaza but with ares(p2p program) i get no uploads wut so ever.

Yes it is :)

Although im not the developer of ares.. I think one of the reasons why you have more uploads when your using shareaza is because it uses the download mesh the proposal name im pretty sure is called HUGE. As other gnutella programs add it then it should make downloading and uploading more efficient.. I dunno if ares has it implemented yet or not..

If you are that worried about the RIAA tracing you. You could always use Filetopia. They need all the users they can get.
