if anyone knows how to do sharing on mirc. I am new at the program and would like to to servers on mirc
any help would be appreciated

Now, is the question: How do I set up a file server (like xdcc) on IRC? Or: How do I download from a file server on IRC?

I only know the second: you must first find a participating server (some servers such as DALNet no longer accept file-sharing channels) Then you must find a good channel on the server (once connected, type /list) the best ones are the most populated.

Or, if you want something in particular, head over to ircspy.com, and type in what your looking for. If you have IRC installed, use IE and click on the link to connect to the server, go into the channel and then just hit ctrl+v to paste the command. Depending if the server is busy, you may have to wait to enter a queue. This happens often with newly released popular files.

www.mircx.com is a great site. Find a script people are using in the channels, and they give out the webaddress to get the server scripts. And its all made easy as pie..

this is a quick tutorial for using fileservers on irc. make sure you learn the basics first, though (check out the faq at http://www.mirc.com/ircintro.html )

Or you could type /list for a list of rooms

In mirc just type /server irc3.p2pchat.net
Then /list
