The rich want to get richer. That is the problem. They make a cultural contribution to society of little value, and they want to be kings and rule with absolute monarchy.
Not.

Why don't you post these news in the file sharing news section?
I think that's the most appropriate section.
Anyway just my opinion.

its already in the correct forum u should look up on top tamarisk. it does say filesharing news.
hmm
and i want to keep this one thread open for news because to keep having filesharing news scattered over the forum will cause problems.
btw tamarisk i notice you post alot of news and they are all scattered about, that is why i made this thread, so that the news posted here remains in one thread.
you should consider doing that too.
*just my opinion*

Artists do not need record distribution, fans do not need record companies, the big five can simulate sales of marginal artists, but as technology and people can sort good acts from bad with such speed that it makes tradititional media distribution obsolete. Add the the limiting contracts that control artists, markets and consumers to force the market to only play by the recording industry rules is is causing self-implosion.
If video games take over 40 hours to solve each, then who has time for listening to music?
Who has time to play videogames anymore?

Economics is economics... I have no hard feelings for any EMI employee, even a secretary or janitor who has to move on. Just like the technology field is getting shaped differently by low cost workforces in China and India, the music industry is also getting reshaped by p2p. Is the engineer in China supposed to feel bad about me losing my job in the US because he's cheaper? No, he doesn't care either. It's natural! It sucks when somebody loses their job, but it's just that fact that nothing stays the same and nothing should - it's time to move on. Just like the guys working in the typewriter factories found new jobs, they will too.

So why not submit these stories as news articles to be posted on the homepage? Thats what its there for, and its easier to read/comment than this thread.
