i have winrar 3.2, and i want to create an SFX....

problem is i want it to extract it to a folder where some application is...hmm like winamp

so whether a user has winamp.exe in c:\ or d:\ or whether in program files or not, i want the installer to detect where the winamp.exe resides and install it self there...

seems like all you would need to do is see where the registry entries for winamp are located and have your installer use the directory the registry specifies

i was hoping some1 can help me with some coding, i did it in pimp installer by nullsoft some time back, and i have forgot all bout it now, i thought winrar would be easier but no luck till now.
