There are 3 programmes with the same name:

http://217.115.195.85/news.php?id=5

http://fengsoft.org/kazaa.htm

does somebody know whether the latest versions contain spyware/adware?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that ShareMonkey's (the middle one) doesn't have any spyware or adware.

I can't really say, mainly because I use Kazaa Lite - it has a built in accelerator. The major versions of K-Lite have an accelerator built into it, so you shouldn't need this software. If you're running the normal version of Kazaa from www.kazaa.com, you already have spyware, so it really shouldn't matter.

If you're wondering if you have any, grab Spybot Search and Destory (www.spybot.info) or Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoft.de/). I personally use the former, and I find it works great.

You hit the nail right on the head my friend. Like most shitware that gets installed by drive by downloads, they always claim to help you enjoy your internet/computing experience meanwhile they are the ones helping to make it a living hell for most users.

doesnt work. if you have it uninstall it. if you want it, dont bother. does about a 0.25kb/s increase. worth the spyware? negative.
