When using Novasearch the site trys to install "spyware/adware" something called "Dotcom toolbar" it trys to connect to the internet and opens yor media player.

Thanks for that hawkburn.
For those that arn't registered, the thread is saying that it is coming from an advertiser and that they are trying to put a stop to it.
Sounds like it is best to stay away from the site for a few days!

I don't use nova search, i will continue to scour the endless library for illigal goods.

That sucks im gona go download that virus right now! runs.....downloads...infects computer + every user on morpheus,emule,gnutella,filetopia,G2,and MSN Messenger.

With so many mirrors of supernova I wonder will this become more common.
Is this just spyware being installed or something even more serious? Does it just happen when you use supernova search? As Dr. Evil says "need the info".

I saw this earlier carolinawolf. I went to the forums to find out what it is about. Everyone seems to think that it is because of the virus. As someone pointed out, that is a bit cheeky of Suprnova. NovaSearch dealt with the virus as quick as they could, but Suprnova has deliberately had a con bittorrent client pop-up for ages.

I'm pretty sure supernova straighten this out and now they no longer use Nova Search. There were some posts about this and because of the virus supernova will be creating their own search engine now.
