Hey guys... Are you willing to create a Private ZP FolderShare user network...
I am 24/7 on it and sharing 60GB+ with friends and familly
I am willing to share everything with ZP as long as we create a "good" user base and everyone shares at least one good MP3...
I could even let my server as a central server for ZP sharing, but that way I'd have to put some kind of ratio for it to be something a bit fare...
what do you think ?
edit: typos

i would be interested, tho a group of ZP'ers have a unofficial ZP hub on direct connect.i don't use DC sice they want you to share to much.i only have a 20 gig HD and only share 3 or 4 gigs at a time.

I'd have no problem letting you connect to the "unofficial ZP FolderShare" as long as you share at least one quality file... (I think sharing at least XXGB of data is kinda stupid sometimes...)

I'm in, but if you want it to be truly private, issue the instructions (or specific addy/passwd) via PM.

I wouldn't mind checking it out. I've yet to use foldershare, though, so that might take a bit of time.

it isn't private if you advertise in public
if you want a private server, pm your user candidates PRIVATELY
all that ends up happening with this method is feelings get hurt when total strangers feel rejected because you didn't let them in, or you try to be a nice guy and end up letting the wrong people in

Are you sure you want to include every active ZP member?
Why not just those who've expressed interest and those who you've seen around here for awhile... I bet there's quite a few RIAA, MPAA, BayTSP, Orrin Hatch motherfuckers with ZP accounts too...

There's no way we can resolve this, but if it's just going to be a blanket "everybody gets in," then I'd rather take my chances in a public DC hub. Only if it's truly private and if we have a reasonable amount of confidence in the members is it worth it. The requirement of sharing only one file is fine, but then you can't judge the validity of the "network" member by the volume/content of their share...

TRUE.
I do appreciate your comments, thanks to everyone of you we might be able to create a good "network" of users and share/get the files we want without fearing RIAA...
BTW... I'm not localized in the US... s

we cant let fear ruin our lives.. We could take our chances outside of a network like shareaza and kazaa as well as public dc hubs. We dont need alot of members, say a 100. 100 sharing maybe 10 gigs each could be very good. We will use our other file sharing programs to bring new music to foldershare for everybody. Turn off our shareing in other file sharing programs while obtaining something to share in the foldershare.

welcome to the eternal question that sits on the shoulders of filesharers--who should i share with?
i won't say anything about the difficulty of knowing whether or not you can trust someone online (most of the time having never met the person) because frankly, you can't trust anyone 100% of the time.
i wish you luck in your quest for a safe place to share files.

Hey guys...
This will not be any OFFICIAL ZP thing but unofficial...
I 'm setting up all this stuff for private use and using the name "ZeroPaid" to define the comunity, nothing else. "My" foldershare server will be set to allow most active and "senior" ZP members... I have to define rules for now, but be sure it will be up and running in about a week (I have a lot of work for now, but it WILL be running next week)
Thanks for your support.

I agree janet, and notbob may be cranky, and gruff, but he hit the nail right on the head. He knows as he has run a hub. it must stay private, and you have to be very carefull who you let in. Also like janet, that is why I still havnt joined any hubs, as Im very cautious. Remember to quote janet, "Stay Safe".

Yeah, I see what you mean. It never hurts to ask though. I'm just as happy sharing files with strangers over eMule as I am with people on ZP. Good luck in getting it working.

all it takes is 1 Judas!
and i have said that before too, and ppl still dont pay attention!
how hard have i tried to warn and protect ppl here?
comes down to this
you can preach the word, but you can't make them listen
in the end, it is the guy on the other end's problem, not yours
people will believe anything, as long as long as it is what they want to hear

I think you have an excellent idea and I would definitely be interested . I agree with Janett999 and the others that commented that you do need to take every possible precaution to keep this private and not allow anyone to join unless they qualify (maybe zeropaid members for 3-6 months and have posted before just as one suggestion ) . It is unfortunately very true that no matter how great a group you have it only takes one to screw it up . Please pm me whenever you want to proceed further . If you want to communicate more directly with people , we could contact each other through Messenger or another instant messaging program. I am using Trillian right now so I can access any of them if needed. Good Luck.
