and i have to investigate this website
zeropaid is a portal or p2p business model?
how can zeropaid earn money? just rely on advertisement?
i am afraid Jorge won't answer my question
and i haven't visited this website before
so i really need all of you to give more information of it
as you all know, the organization information are not shown in the website !
i donno whether the website is very popular or not!
anyone has news about this website ?

The site is here for people to get information on p2p applications, but the forums deal with people who need all sorts of computer related problems.
This site is funded by the adverts.
There is of course the news on the front page for people to keep up to date with the latest developments in the file sharing world. These days that is usually reports on court cases.
Popularity is a bit subjective to answer, but it is one of the top sites for information on file sharing. See slyck.com for one of the competing sites. They focus more on news, but the zeropaid forums are bigger.

I would say that zeropaid is one of the most popular file-sharing portals. There is no real business as far as I can tell. The ads appear to just support the development and serving of the site. It is intersting to note that if you type "File-Sharing" in google the site is the first on the list. (google at 1:40pm 02/3/04) These are just my opinions of course and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone else.

I would call slyck "ZP's News Department" since most of the front page news comes from slyck.

Actually, the members of Slyck and Zeropaid interchange. I would say a good percentage of ZP's goto Slyck and vice-versa. I don't have any solid numbers, but you can always see the two sites mingle.

Slycktom is right. Many zeropaid members including myself use both Slyck and Zeropaid interchangeably . Between them they provide these advantages:

1. Latest P2P news.
2. Latest P2P updates & releases
3. Best internet forums and best discussion of P2P issues , problems, security concerns, legal complications, ethical issues etc .
4. Wide variety of opinions and backgrounds on most points.
5. Exceptionally well informed forum members that are willing and able to help with member questions.

Pay no attention to him, i dont think anyone should really mind and his opinion doesnt represent everyones.

As for the orgainizational structure Jorge and Chris(dubstylee) are at the top, there are 3 sections to this site the news mods(which review the news submissions by people and post it to the front page), the program mods(which update all the infomation about the p2p programs listed in the p2p program section) and the forum mods which include supermoderators(which oversee and run the forums).

For the most part people volunteer when there is a need for people to fill in these sections, they get reviewed so hopefully no troublemakers get in and then are made moderators. Typically it goes to people who have been here a while have always been on their best behavior and not caused trouble and would hopefully be dependable.

Re: My post sayng there was alot of traffic at ZP because of its 175,000+ members. That wasn't to infer that they were all regular users of ZP, but simply to say that with alot of members that does bring traffic.
