This sucks, that sucks! Like, *oh my god*, how old are you?
The only programs that "suck" are those that suck your user info thru hidden spyware apps.
But to say one P2P sucks and another is the best is entirely in the eyes of the beholder.
Each program is built by a different programmer or group of progrs. Each programmer, as a user themselves, has a different vision and a different opinion on what features make for the best client.
Some people prefer the interface that Xolox offers, some like eDonkey the best, many loved Napster, and I personally like Blubster.
And as for the actual content you find on each network or thru each client, your searching/downloading success depends on what Internet connnection you have and what your personal music and movie preferences are.
Some P2P users just want the current top40 songs, and some networks/clients will better accommidate those wants. Some people want rare or odd stuff like prog-fusion or doom-metal, and again, some networks/clients are better suited. I like 80s metal, alternative, country, classic, progressive, pop, new-age, etc., and Blubster has been very good to me, so why change.
In the end, those of you that constantly post "sucks" comments to this forum or to Zeropaid news items, you are just as stupid as the "first post, second post" jerks. Then again, you are probably the same damn kids!

Fully agree

Tell that to the main page. Its always the same unregistered people.. It would be great if comments on news items could be done through the forums.
Programs dont need spyware to monitor the various networks. Napster datamined and sold off userinfo, and anyone can do it on a open network.
People keep looking for the "best" program and expect to use just that one.. IMHO the best is not just one program but a combination of many different ones.
Edit: Speling error

Although most people don't like to admit it, probably over half of the people here lie about their age. I bet anyone, that over half of the viewers here are under 17. You can tell mostly by the way they post, with just flame insults and no valid explanation supporting their reasons.

I do agree the this critisism does apply to the ZP's comment section of articles that are posted. So far I think the conduct of registered members on the forum has pretty good and mods have done good job keeping the order.
keep up the good work

Agree all the mods do a good job, and the main page is good, I have seen them remove remove bad stuff. But everyone flames sometimes. this is deffently better than most of the other forums.

:shy I agree the age is obvious at times. If they want to know what sucks, try a vic 20 or a commodore64, hell win-95 looks good.

Not only young people post in this way!
If they tell their opinion without rude flames I think its Ok, if they using very bad words we should edit it - if they flame on an other user we should edit or delete it! There are always people who think they can do everything - I remember the old zeropaid forums - Jesus they NEVER saw an edit message (I know Jorge has not the time to do it!), so many people will think they can do it here in the same way... BUT now we have enough mods to keep the forums free! :wings
I think the best would be to work on some forum rules and post them in an annoucement!

I thought there was a set of forum rules already posted...
Foreverboard
May 6th, 2002, 05:45 PM
There is
*Unofficial* General P2P Section Rules
This are just my little guidelines for what is not to be posted on these boards (Ryoko, feel free to add to this):
1. Spam/Unrelated Advertisments
2. Repetitive Posts (sorta same as above)
3. Insult/flame wars etc.
4. Excessive Profanity -Suggested by BloodySabbath
But above all just have fun!!!
Please feel free to post any comments or suggestions below. Thanks,

I mean for the whole side! Not just for one forum!
We have several mods here, the most are super mods they can edit every forum so I think its really necessary to work out a common guidance!

P.S.:
I think I move this thread to feedback!

Thats not what you said. I was just tring to give information.

And just some random advice:
Once you do come up with an official set of rules, it would probably be easier just to make a board wide announcement (which is very simply done from the Control Panel) instead of making seperate sticky threads in each forum.

Yes this was my idea! This would make the things a lot easier!

IMO, Any cross-post announcement with rules should also come with some advice for newbie's on how to post here.

How come the lowest age-group on the poll is 17 and under? Please give high-school juniors/seniors some more credit (especially those applying for college). Many of the comments on the articles are much more fitting to the 12 and under age group.

Well just in general, younger people tend to be more rash...defined as Sux...suxxors...farg j00, roxors etc ... of course we always have the exception rule...there is some 30 year old slob who has the manners of an incompetent fool, as well as a 10 year old genius who is never given the due respect he/she deserves. Still all in all...younger people tend to blow more steam than others...and its cool to speak your mind...the question is how... and thats what irritates others when they see it, hear it, gotta put up with it and so forth.

30? hey I'm 36 and still a slob. also i get to sound off like a pompous ass 65 yr old sometimes too. Mid life....spots and wrinkles too...who could ask for more?
I agree sometimes the teenage dumb ignorant hormonally charged bullshit just obliterates any chance of a real debate or conversation...tho I think there are teenagers out there in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s etc...
Sometimes its funny tho seeing someone get a fire lit under their ass and watch them scream.
Mostly ZP forums are good. mostly. I think that is ok. If they get over moderated we'll miss some stuff we like and start complaining we're censored or oppressed. If they were less moderated it would be just pointless name calling. And personally I prefer to do that kind of stuff for real.

How old are you if it bothers you that others have a strong opinion?
Frankly some P2P programs do *suck*
And while that isn't an eloquent way of putting it, it is an opinion none the less.

Another unwritten rule we have here is to have the obligatory "I think the mods are doing a good job" thread at least once a week.

I'd like to agree with the comment way above, which spoke about basically, morons, who say everything "sucks" just because it doesn't suit them or their computer specs. The fact that most of them don't even bother to write down the basis on why they think a certain program sucks just makes them look ever more foolish.
I'd also like to say, I am 17 (not lying) nearly 18, but thankfully God *well my Parents* gave me a brain and a set of instructions in 3 different languages on how to use it, lol...

begoodbebad, sorry, not a big deal, you're not the culprit. If somebody votes in a poll and doesn't post, it brings it to the front.
