I have a problem on my win98 machine, files want to download to .m2a not .mp3.
What program is doing this? I checked my extentions and removed m2a extention, still sites list the filename as .mp3 sends it to me as .m2a
help!

Just change the file format extension from .m2a (whatever that is) to .mp3 and it should work fine.

Browser downloads file as .M2A not mp3. This is the problem, I wonder if some evil corporation thought that one up as a security fix for it's browser to discourage free media formats.
Anyway, the problem is the browser autodownloads it as m2a, not mp3. Oddly enough the file itself ends with .mp3
The question is WHY is my browser changing the .mp3 to .m2a ?
