how do you save a flash movie from a site besides the browser's cache?

view the source of the html file. That should give you clues to the exact location of the movie. Then re-create the discovered URL in the address bar or import it to a downloader like flashget or star downloader

Use a utility like Flash Save! or others available on the net. I know Flash Save! comes with MyIE2 (a shell for IE) but I cannot remember where I have DL'ed it from elsewhere.
