Use DVD Decrypter.
You can get it and any guides or other software related to DVD ripping at http://www.doom9.org

DVD Shrink has worked for me and its free. Make sure you use the deep analysis tool. Also Smartripper, but you may have to use DVD shrink after ripping to make it fit in a DVDR. For burning use Nero 6,it rules.

DVD Shrink is the best, in my opinion. Easy to use, quality is superb, and if you take the time to learn about a few options, you can squeeze even more out of it. If you have Nero installed, Shrink is an all-in-one rip/compress/burn package.
