It may not be software, but the next best thing.

Well if you are just wanting to find out what kind of websites that they visit you could do the following on their pc...

Right click internet explorer icon, select properties.

Under the history tab, select the ammount of days you want the computer to keep the list of web pages they go to, then hit apply on the bottom right of the window. (only needs to be done one time, when you hit apply close out the window)

Then to find out what websites they go to his the history button on your internet explorer, select the drop down box labeled view, and then select view by date. (do this each time you want to find out just remember to close the window so that it doesnt show up next time they use the computer, the history subwindow on the left side)

That should help you find out what websites they look at during the day.

But remember all this must be done on their pc, just remember to check when they are at school or something.

A word about software that is designed to do the job I just described...

Problem with software is that if your child is technically gifted, he/she can easily get around the software that is monitoring him/her and you will never know what they are really doing.

Another problem with the software meant to do this, they will also know your spying on them and it will be harder to catch them in the act.

Perhap what you really want is a keylogger. It's spying, but if you think they're up to no good or chatting with strangers, you may want to install one. There are many different ones available. Just do a google search for keyloggers. There are ways to find them for free too, if you look real hard. Good Luck and I hope you don't find anything you don't want to!

Neither a keylogger nor a history will let her help them out live, if she is serious about what she is trying to accomplish she needs a remote console.

There is one from Microsoft with Windows XP and NT
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp
Which you can download free if you don't already have it in your windows installation.

But I've always preferred pcAnywhere™
http://www.symantec.com/pcanywhere/Consumer/index.html
It's like $40 though.

Here's one that you can try out for free that works over the web so you can use it from anywhere
http://www.go-to-my-pc.net/
But it costs $20 a month!

the reason they know so much about it, is their parents and families have to make sure their up to no good=)
