According to LimeWire.com Gnutella has 0 hosts online, is this just an error.... or for real, cos i cant connect to Gnutella, ever since yesterday when there were like 250,000 G1 hosts online

LimeWire's crawler is down since sunday. The user number it showed yesterday was from sunday night.
I don't know what causes your connection problems but it doesn't seem to affect the LimeWire subnet.

Its Gnutella not "G1."
Looked around a few gnutella sites and all hell hasnt broke loose so it looks like that network is running fine. So if you post more about your connection problem then im sure we could find the cause of it. I think that maybe your not getting fresh hosts from a host cache so you might want to try manually connecting to one like public.bearshare.net or anyone of the numerous others it doesnt matter, hosts are hosts and see if works.
Which if you didnt know the limewire crawler is how the statistics are generated. So when it goes down then no statistics are generated.

Is public.bearshare.com still running? It may very well be the last existing gnutella host cache. The gnutellahosts.com & limewire.com host caches have been shut down more than a year ago.

Im pretty sure it still works gnutellanet.com was also listed in the ini file as a host cache too, they do use gwebcache too. I cant test it because of the dracoian network policies at school.
It ends in .net not .com too.

It seems to be ok now, its snowing 150,000 hosts online... but that is lower then usual, this part week, like ever since Morpheus 4.0 has been released, the gnutella hosts have gone up to something like over 250,000 hosts

The LimeWire crawler does not count Morpheus hosts. GnucDNA does not support the "Crawler:"-header. What you see is LimeWire, BearShare, gtk-gnutella and a small number of leafs (<10%) from any vendor.

G1 is crap, G2 is better!

Use Gnucleus Beta, it connects perfectly to G1 and G2.

Try LimeWire and you will never claim Gnutella was crap again.
Latest beta without TopMoxie (people of the free world use this):

No they are fanboying so it doesnt matter what you say.
Im sure they will get pissy or call me names on some other forum in plain view which ill eventually see because they are idiots.
This is a portal site and why shouldnt someone be allowed to ask a question about gnutella without it being spammed with shareaza, gnucleus, or MP? Especially in threads in forums about a specific network or program. This thread is about limewire/gntuella it has nothing to do with anything else.
People of any other network can ask a question or post a thread about that program and it wont get spammed with about other networks or programs. Gnutella IMHO is no different and this is not only against the rules but is disrespect to this site and other programs/networks.
