I am currently using the latest version of musicmatch plus jukebox as my mp3 player and ripper. however recently when i insert an audio cd into the computer musicmathch recorder simply comes up with the message 'Waiting For CD-ROM resources to become available'. i am playing the cd through any other programs or even running any other programmes than music match jukebox. it seemed to start displaying this message since i installed virtual cd but i have uninstalled that programme and yet the same thing happens. does anyone have any idea of what i can do?

Have you tried to rip with any other programs besides MusicMatch? Try it with something like Nero, and if it works, it means it's a problem with MusicMatch. If it doesn't, well, you'll have to get someone else to help. :hole
What OS are you using?
For example, if you're using XP, make sure no one else is logged on. Also, check the Task Manager under Processes, and close any programs that you don't need open.

also make sure that you are not playing the CD or that it is tring to load the CDDB in the player in Musicmatch when you try and record. sometimes the cd will be spinning in the drive even though nothing is happening in the program. It has happend to me before, i also use musicmatch to rip some of my music. Good luck.

When you put in a CD to Musicmatch it will automaticly start the CBBD (song and albem) lookup by defalt. even if you dont have an internet connection it will try and look it up anyway. Alot of times when the lookup is going the program will say that the CD resource is in use. Its a shot in the dark, but check and see (if you "dont" have always on internet) uncheck the "automatic lookup" in the options and see if that helps. you might also try uninstalling and reinstalling Musicmatch if you havent already tried that. good luck

try using cdex its a freeware, program, and it is also a mp3 and wav ripper. it will encode files and rip files,
it supports many formats. you can encode to different speeds.
