The queues in Winmx are a HUGE pain in the arse, there is no way to by pass it you must wait for your turn to come up. 4 (the first number of total users)+ 0 (second number is how many of those total number of peers is available for transfer). Hopefully when winmx 4 is released it will adress this naggin' problem. It is a bit confusing I know took me a minute to catch it too. If winmx is bothering you and not working well try out some other p2p apps for music such as blubster or piolet,or ares. hope this helps.

The only way to bypass queues is for the person you're trying to download from is to manually start you. Also, let me explain what those numbers mean.

4 + 0 available users
1 + 0 available users
10 32 130 in lower queues

4 + 0 available users

The first number (4) is green, whereas the second one (0) is red. The green number represents available users who have a fast/broadband connection, such as cable, dsl, T1, etc. The red number represents available users who are on a slower connection, such as any dialup connection. So for

4 + 0 available users

there are 4 users with fast connections currently with queue spots open, and you can download from them immediately.

10 32 130 in lower queues

For starters, when you see this, it means there are no users with open queue spots for this file. What the numbers mean are the number of users in queue for the users with the lowest queue lines.

There are also a couple more things you could see, and that would be something along the lines of

2 of 3 available

1 in queue (0 of 3 available)

The first one means there is one user with this file, and he has 2 of 3 (total number of queue spots) open. The second means there is one user with the file, but there is one person in his queue line (he has 3 queue spots, but all of them are filled, and there is one person in line).

I'm beginning to feel like I should just write one big long tutorial on WinMX.

Any file no matter what it is below 30,000 kb bypasses the queue and is downloaded right away.

It's easily WinMX's biggest flaw and there's not much you can do about it. The simple answer is people have no incentive to share unlike on other networks. 90% of the people that try and download from me are auto-banned by LeecHammer. On the plus side the selection of music is reasonably good.
If you have a lot of music to share you could try DC++, especially if you have a narrow taste in music.

It may just be me, but it seems leechhammer and Mxmoni have really helped the queue problems for sharers alot, especially for music. Its forced some leechers to share or move on. But my leechhammer still nails about 30% of the ques. Cry me a river leechers
