Weird participation level

I tried searching the forums for info on this... but the words I used was either too short or too long to search. Forgive me if this has already been asked.

Anyways, I started up my KazaaLiteK++ v2.4.3 and noticed that my PL was
18390. Is this an error or is it that way for a reason? This is the first time I've used KL in several weeks and I don't recall it being like that before. I didn't think it could be higher than 1000. :)

No, the participation level can't go above 1000, it is some sort of error.

well it can be higher than 1000..
random nut removed the limit of the participation level, so it can go up to about 19000 or something.. it's not an error! so it's your real participation level.. and that's how this option is named.. show real participation level. :gj

If you want it to say 1000, go into "K++ options", under "K++ advance options" untick "show real participation level".
So how is your real participation level calculated and what does it do? Mine is 18361.

That's what I I'd like to know. I'm always uploading, but I'm pretty sure I'm still downloading more.....
In the past the PL was kind of unfair. I would have to upload all day without downloading at all just to get a decent number (without the PL 1000 cheat). DLing one big file would crash it right back down to zero within a few hours...lol

I use v2.4.3. and have had the same participation thing.18000 and even higher.I'm always on and a super node but that just aint right.If you look at the PL of the people uploading from you do they show the same PL as you? On my system this is the case.I turned of the show constant PL 1000 and then switched it back on and the (BUG) or what ever went away.I did like that high of a level but it's not quite right.

my participation level is high, although i dont share but a few files.

it is an error...it only happens when you have Constant PL 1000 and show real PL on at the same time :D When you have Constant PL 1000 off and show real PL on, it shows the real PL
