...without burning them to a CD? Some of the movies I have downloaded recently break down into a bin file and a cue file, and at this time I do not have the means to burn them to a DVD or even a CD for that matter.

You can probably find a copy of a program called Alcohol 120% pretty easily.

It will create a virtual CD-Rom drive, and it will run .cue. .iso, etc. files off of your HDD as if they were on an actual CD.

You could also look for the Daemon Tools at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/download.php

It's free and it will create a virtual cd/dvd rom you can mount images to. It's similar to other product that do the same thing.

i really like alcohol 120%. it comes with the ability to copy "uncopyable" cds as well.

but i'm sure someone else will recommend Daemon tools.

it's soley for the viewing/playing of bin files.

Hardly.

Daemon Tools was designed to emulate copy protections, so those burned copies of games would work on your machine. It worked until they decided to check the ATIPs on retail blank CD-Rs. But Daemon Tools more or less is specifically drive emulation software.

Alcohol is great too. Copying "uncopyable" games is a little more involved than just using Alcohol if you want them to play in any drive without cracks, etc. But Alcohol is certainly a step in the right direction, and now supercedes CloneCD by a fair margin, though it does still have its uses.

If it is just video files then consider using VideoLAN as it can play .bin files by selecting it like any other video file, else I would second RJ5500.

Thanks for the help guys! I used WinIso and it worked just fine! I'll probably end up trying your other suggestions too though and see which program is the best one.

My last reply was a little hasty.

If you're looking for utility, use Alcohol120% hands down. In addition to creating virtual CD/DVD ROMs so you mount CD images for games and .bins for SVCDs or what have you, you also get versatile burning software.

If you just need some virtual drives and prefer to use your own burning software (probably Roxio or Nero), use Daemon Tools. It's quick and easy and takes up few resources.
