I Know about many firewalls ...But which one is da best????
I mean by following means:
1) Less Memory Hog (Less resources)
2) Easy With File Sharers (No problem or less problem with File Sharing Software)
3) With options of also manual unblocking & blocking the software...

Get a hardware firewall, router is a good choice. There less of a chance that they would hack a hardware one over a software one. If you needed to reinstall your os then it ready when you want to connect. Works in many OS that suport ethernet.

Ahh yes, forgot about those :p I use both, so it does work when re-installing so that you can download updates without being infected with Blaster. Just remember to turn it on :)

After looking at reputation, the most important thing to me became how recource hungry the firewall is. I've used Zonealarm and Sygate, but both would use up my cpu to the point where I had to restart the program every once in a while. I'm now using Kerio personal firewall, and I'm very happy with it. If you know what you're doing, and you get past the first few hours of it constantly asking for permissions, you'll be happy with it.

Really? ZoneAlarm and Sygate work excellent with me.... of course RAM isnt a problem with me, but in case you would want to compare... here's my stats:
Windows 2000 sp4
1.6 Ghz P4
1.5 GB SDRAM
80 GB x2 drives
I've never seen a problem with either... ZoneAlarm tends to slow down UDP a small amount... Sygate makes it un-noticable though... but.. whatever works for you... and welcome to ZeroPaid.

I use 2Wire Home Portal. It came with my network..works great, and nothing gets through unless I specify it.

the best firewall would be a hardware firewall/router.
in terms of software firewall, there is no "best" theres only those that meet your needs and understanding at the time, meaning while you may be inexperienced with a pc and security issues pertaining to firewalls right now, that may not be the case in a few months.
alot of users find an ease of use in zonealarm as it's easy to use/configure, but as you progress in your experiences using firewalls, you may choose to use another like sygate, outpost or kerio, or whatever and vice versa you may very well end up using zonealarm last and sticking with it.
when you choose a firewall you should look for a firewall thats fits YOUR needs and YOUR requirements not those of others.
sygate is easy to use and has many functions that when configured right can protect you very well, some things arent enabled by default, why? i don't know.
zonealarm is also easy to configure, is much like sygate in a sense, but it also goes a step further with its web filtering features, has easy explanations for its settings and an easy to follow help guide.
outpost, well its a very solid firewall has a multitude of features and options but is geared more towards the experienced user. you can either use it like sygate in a sense or go a step further and create rules such as what protocol is allowed on what port by what application.
in the end it comes down to as i said earlier, the best firewall is the firewall that fits YOUR needs. best bet would be to try the few i mentioned and stick with the one you like best.

I use both a D-Link broadband router and Zonealarm pro 4 and they work great.
The router keeps me safe from the outside and Zonealarm keeps bad things from communicating with servers from the outside.
Not that I have any trojans running right now, but it could happen someday.
