haven't had a chance to try poisoned yet, but...

acquisition rocks. the integration with itunes is wonderful, it's fast (considering it's p2p) and it uses a bunch of limewire's insides for free (like you can't find a crack or just click "later" every hour or whatever).

then i just connect via ftp to the ibook and sync the songs on my pc.

just tried poisoned... there's a lot of nice features, the itunes integration is nice, but there is still a lot lacking. the features of even g1 over fasttrack are seen well here:
i let both programs connect to there networks, and then searched for swat movie.

acqx came up with dozens of sources for both part1 and 2 of the movie. poisoned? max was 5. and poisoned never actually connected to gnutella.

Number of sources is an ignorant way to test a network. I've seen 1000 sources for a file on BearShare, where NONE of them actually connected.

Personally I HATE p2p networks that display files for downloading that aren't ready to download. It's self defeating too. If multiple sources all fail to download, the instinct is to try and download 10 or 20 and see which one succeeds first and then forget you did that (moving on to something else) and download 20 copies anyway. That's using up 20 times the network bandwidth! No wonder some of these networks are dog slow.

hmm, let's put it this way:
i use acquisition. i'm an apple fanboy, everybody knows that (or should).

but to get me to say i actually like a p2p program takes a lot... see the '48 new songs' in the sig? all those came from acqx. if i wanted to be real, i could give you the real number of songs i downloaded, but didn't like and deleted...
