Whenever I go to make a record a video from my cable, I hook up the device to the vcr, set the vcr to take input from the cable, and set up the config menus in the program and then went to record it. But every time I hit record, some error window pops up saying there was an error in some .dll file. Does anyone have a help suggestion for me?
P.S. I didn't install the MyDVD part of the installation, could that doing the problem?

I've gone to that page before, and the closest thing I could find that could help me was that MDAC update, but I aready had a much more updated version, and they only suggested that for win 95 and 98 users, I don't want to risk screwing up a file that important.

If this helps anyone to help me, I always get a MFC42.dll error when it messes up on recording.

This behavior can occur if the Mfc42.dll file is damaged or is the incorrect version. Try re-installing it.

I tried that, and even went to the extent of replacin every mfc42.dll file on my system with the new one, it still hadn't worked. Maybe the computer I'm using is causing this, Windows ME seems to have a bad track record when it comes to video capturing programs.
(I can record small files though with a small resolution)

What are the specs of your PC? Do they meet Dazzle's minimum requirements? their recomended requirements?
It could just be that you dont have enough power to record larger files at high resolution.

That's what I was thinking, but then I went over and used VirtualDub and I record using my Dazzle device fine, except for one thing, there was no sound.
