View Full Version : HELP! cant get SATA hd to install in win xp pro!

Hey everyone, long tome no see. Anyways i have a problem. I just got a western digital raptor and windows xp-preinstall wont install the drivers for my mobo's sata controller. (im using a chaintech 7njs zenith-ultra). I try to install the 3rd party drivers with a floppy like my manual says but everytime i try i get this error:

"File \WinXP\fasttx2k.sys caused an unexpected error (1 at line 2108 in d:\xpsp1\boot\setup\oemdisk.c."

I have NO clue what this means and why my drivers wont install correctly. any help would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks!
